The Dream of a Las Vegas Wedding

Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis… What do they all have in common? A wedding in Las Vegas. Saying “I do” surrounded by neon lights, channeling the looks of Marilyn Monroe and the King of Rock in a sixties-inspired chapel is, to this day, an emblem of romantic love—one that some of the most iconic couples in film and music history have fueled over the years, turning it into an almost always unreachable dream.

Among all the women who have longed to make their own American dream come true was our bride. A young woman who yearned for a Vegas wedding and, upon realizing her wishes could come true much closer to home, made it happen without ever leaving Spain. Specifically, in Ibiza—an island where absolutely anything is possible. So she booked a plane ticket and celebrated the wedding she had always imagined: a typical Spanish celebration with early-2000s vibes.

This story inspires an editorial named after an iconic song from popular culture: Cuando Zarpa el Amor (“When Love Sets Sail”). A photoshoot at Romeo’s Hotel paying tribute to all those love-at-first-sight stories, to friends who become family, and to summer flings that turn into a love that lasts forever. An ode to all the brides who take tradition to new shores.
